In celebration of Veterans Day, the students of North Branford Intermediate School (NBIS) had the opportunity to honor servicemen through activities and a luncheon. To welcome the veterans, eighth grade students arranged a display of 1,200 American flags outside the school.

Veterans of several branches of the armed services came to speak to the different grade levels and shared experiences about their time served. Afterwards, a luncheon was held for our veterans as well as staff members who served in the military. The activities and luncheon were organized by the middle school's social studies teachers and many staff members. Guest veterans were John Ardine, Joseph Busher, Louis Criscuolo, John Gill, Ronald Grant, Hugh Meehan, John Molleur, Cliff Potter, Mike Rickaby, Nik Rothstein, Keith Shadman, and Mark Williams.
