10/10/2018 12:50 PMThe League of Women Voters (LVW)-East Shore has announced dates for local debates between candidates running in the November 6, 2018 state elections for State Representative and State Senate seats in districts which include the towns of Branford and/or North Branford.
On Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m., LWV-East Shore will host a public debate for the 12th Senate District candidates, Christine Cohen (D) and Adam Greenberg (R), at the Guilford Community Center, 32 Church St., Guilford. The 12th District represents the towns of Branford, North Branford, Guilford, Madison, Killingworth and Durham.
On Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 7:30 pm., LWV-East Shore will host a public debate for the 86th Rep. District candidates, Vincent J. Candelora (R), Vincent Mase Jr. (D) and Colin Souney (Gr), in the Evergreen Woods Auditorium, 88 Notch Hill Rd., North Branford. Non-residents of Evergreen Woods: please call 203-488-8000 to reserve a seat. The 86th district represents North Branford-Northford, and sections of Wallingford, North Guilford, and Durham.
On Sunday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m., The LWV–East Shore will host a closed studio television debate at BCTV for Branford's 102nd State Representative District candidates, Robin Comey (D) and Robert Imperato (R). The debate will be broadcast live on BCTV's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MyBctv ) and will run on BCTV Comcast channels 18 and 1070 and Frontier channel 6004. Additional post-debate viewing will be available at www.YouTube.com/MyBCTV

Due to running unopposed, incumbent candidate for the 98th District State Rep., Sean Scanlon (D), has not been scheduled for a debate. The 98th District represents Guilford and Branford's Pine Orchard and Stony Creek sections.
