Members of the Branford Garden Club (BGC) have been perfecting their floral designs as the club readies for its elaborate Standard Flower Show, "The Sound and the Flora of Stony Creek." The show takes place Sat. Oct. 6 (1 - 5 p.m.) and Sun. Oct. 7 (noon - 4 p.m.) at several locations around Stony Creek, including private homes and historic buildings.

Tickets, $15, may be purchased in advance on line at www.branfordgardenclub.org or on the days of the show at Taken for Granite, 409 Leetes Island Road, or Seaside Hall, 215 Thimble Island Road.
