Branford Garden Club's 'The Sound and the Flora of Stony Creek' Oct. 6 - 7
"The Sound and the Flora of Stony Creek," a Standard Flower Show presented by Branford Garden Club, will take place Saturday, October 6, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, October 7 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Tickets, $15, are valid on both days. During show hours, ticket holders will receive free shuttle service to nine different locations in the historic village of Stony Creek, which will furnish the ambiance of a small seaside village. Experience creative floral designs, interesting horticulture exhibits, educational exhibits, artistic crafts, and a variety of vendors offering unique products and holiday gifts.
The show venues include six historic village locations and three residences. Guests will visit the Stony Creek Railroad Depot (reproduced by Anthony "Unk" DaRos), the Stony Creek Museum, Seaside Hall (home to the Stony Creek Fife & Drum Corps), the Legacy Theatre, the Branford Land Trust building and the Stony Creek Congregational Church; as well as homes including "The Old Brainerd Hotel," "Victorian Splendor," and the "Vintage Cottage."

Additionally, tickets will go on sale within the month of September at Taken for Granite, 409 Leetes Island Road. During show dates, tickets may be purchased on the shuttle buses or at Seaside Hall, 215 Thimble Island Road.
The Branford Garden Club is an award-winning civic organization engaged in a wide variety of community activities. Event proceeds will help support the club's beautification and maintenance of Branford's many town gardens.
