08/14/2018 01:42 PMOn Aug. 14, approximately 28 percent of all North Branford Democratic and Republican voters selected their candidates at primary for the Nov. 6 general election, according to final results released by the Town Clerk's office.
Republicans in North Branford showed overwhelming support for Bob Stefanowski as their candidate for governor, with 313 votes besting GOP-endorsed candidate Mark Boughton, who received 104 votes here. Democrats came out firmly in support of party-endorsed Ned Lamont as its candidate for governor, giving him 496 votes over contender Joe Ganim, who received 123 votes.
At the town's two polling places on Aug. 14, Republican turnout was 650 of 2,362 registered; Democratic turnout was 627 of 2,225.
