North Branford's Summer Kicks Off with Free Sin Sisters Concert June 28
North Branford Parks and Recreation and the Senior Center is excited to kick off the summer with a community wide concert on Thursday, June 28 at Totoket Valley Park, 279 Forest Rd., Northford (next to the Potato and Corn festival grounds).
The evening will consist of two parts. First, from 5 - 6 p.m., senior citizens and the community at large is invited to join the annual senior picnic, co-hosted by North Branford Parks and Rec and Senior Center and the North Branford Rotary. This is a free picnic for North Branford and Northford senior citizens (advance registration requested, please call (2030 484-6017), and only $5 for non-residents. Rotarians will be serving up traditional picnic fare – hot dogs, hamburgers, salads and watermelon.
Then, from 6 - 8 p.m., The Sin Sisters will take the stage for a free community concert for all to enjoy. The Sin Sisters are a fabulous blend of swing, top 40, disco, and classic rock. They are guaranteed to get you dancing. Also, Shoreline Prime's food truck will be available for dining purchases; residents can also bring their own picnic basket to the event.
