North Branford Scholarship Assoc. Awards $27,650 to Class of 2018
On May 30, 2018 Senior Awards Night was held at the North Branford Auditorium. During the event, the North Branford Scholarship Association (NBSA) presented awards totaling $27,650 to 91 graduating seniors, according to an NBSA press release.
The non-profit assocation shared it would like to thank all the businesses, organizations and families who help NBSA recognize the achievements of North Branford's young people and encourage them to pursue a promising future. Established in 1963, the sole purpose of NBSA is raising and distributing funds to graduating seniors within the North Branford community.
Each year, graduating students are awarded scholarships based on their scholastic achievement throughout high school. The awards are given as individual scholarships to students planning to continue their education or career path. The NBSA committee reviews the application and selects the recipients.
Members of NBSA are grateful to acknowledge that, in the 55 years of the existence of NBSA, over 3,400 students have shared in receiving over $1,061,000. Students are North Branford residents but do not have to attend North Branford High School to receive an award.
