Rep. Candelora Discusses Budget, Spending Cap, Tolls at North Branford Town Meeting
State Representative Vincent Candelora (R, District 86), held a town hall meeting on Wednesday, May 31 with constituents at North Branford Town Hall. Rep. Candelora updated the attendees on the status of the state budget as well as other issues discussed during the legislative session, which concluded in May.
"I enjoyed getting to meet and talk with folks from North Branford," Candelora said. "I was also pleased to report that during the 2018 legislative session the legislature successfully passed a bipartisan budget, implemented a constitutional spending cap and prevented the passage of tolls – among other things. I look forward to opportunities like this where my constituents and I can engage in open and honest conversations about state or local issues. I can only represent the people of the 86th District if I understand their concerns and gain their input."
If you missed the North Branford meeting and would like to attend Rep. Candelora's Coffee & Conversation, you can attend the upcoming event on Friday, June 15, from 8 - 9 a.m. at Dad's Restaurant, 740 North Colony Rd., Wallingford. All residents are encouraged to attend and all questions or concerns related to the town, state government, or budget are welcome. Towns with areas represented by the 86th District include North Branford, Guilford, Durham and Wallingford.
