03/20/2018 03:51 PMMarch 16, 2018: Branford Public Schools (BPS) announces the following information to residents seeking to register their child for pre-kindergarten or kindergarten for the 2018-2019 school year:
To apply for Pre-K, a child needs to be four years old before January 1, 2019. Students turning five between September 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018 are also eligible if they have not previously participated in the BPS Pre-K program.
To enroll in Kindergarten, your child must be five before January 1, 2019.
Register here or visit the Branford Public Schools website online at www.branfordschools.org and click on New Student Registrations (under district news). After completing the online process, please make an appointment with District Registrar, Jessica Strassburg, by calling 203-315-6723 (for all questions regarding Pre-K and Kindergarten registration, please contact the District Registrar).
Please bring the following to your appointment:
Two Proofs of Residency, such as mortgage statement, property tax record, rent receipt, homeowner's insurance receipt, current utility bill, proof of government benefits, current Connecticut driver's license or automobile registration.
Proof of child's age, such as: A birth certificate, passport, earlier school records, a state-issued identification card, a physician's certification or immunization records.
The child's health records, including an exam within one year of enrollment date. Use Connecticut's HAR-3 form (available from your pediatrician).
