A Timely Event: BACA Vintage Clock Show, Talk in Branford March 10
In anticipation of clocks that will soon be springing ahead by one hour, Branford Arts and Cultural Alliance (BACA) invites the public to come out and enjoy a timely free display and talk celebrating a variety of heirloom mechanical clocks connected to Connecticut.
On Saturday, March 10, BACA presents a free clock show at the Academy on the Branford town green from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. BACA will display a collection at least 25 vintage clocks in the historic Academy building, according to BACA co-founder Frank Carrano.
In addition to taking in the workmanship of wind-ups, at 1 p.m., attendees will hear a brief discussion on the history of Connecticut clocks.
Speaking of time, on Sun., March 11, Connecticut will "spring ahead" by an hour; daylight saving time begins at 2 a.m.
