Academic and Extracurricular Achievements

• Lauren Pinto, a senior majoring in liberal studies/education, was awarded the Mary Ellen Fuller Scholarship at Endicott College.

• University of New Haven Graduates, Dec. 2017: Heather Alpaugh, B.S. with a concentration in investigative services; Michael Demennato, M.S. in emergency management; Joseph Guandalini, B.S. with a concentration in law enforcement administration; Sarah Kennedy, MBA; Kyle Obier, B.S. with a concentration in investigative services and a concentration in fire/arson investigation; and Joseph Ricci, B.S. in cyber systems.

• Jan Hagedorn graduated with a doctor of philosophy in education curriculum and instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017.

• Ryan Powers graduated with a doctor of philosophy in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017.

• Dominic Fusco, a student majoring in electrical and computer engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, recently completed a research project titled “Gusty Gardens: Implementing Soil Education Programs.”

• Amy Burgh, a student at North Haven High School, was granted the Trustees’ Scholarship to attend Alvernia University in Fall 2018.

• Nathaniel Zalegowski, a student at North Haven High School, was granted the Veronica Founder’s Scholarship to study Healthcare Science at Alvernia University in Fall 2018.
