Towering Twin Cedars are Branford 'Notable Trees'
Behold the Branford Community Forest Commission's (CFC) latest selection for the Notable Tree program.
These gorgeous specimens are located on either side of the entrance to Parker Park [beside Branford Point town beach], which makes them extra special due to their status as public trees. Just drive down to the end of Harbor Street and take a look.
These are cedars, most probably Northern White Cedars, which hold the distinction of likely being the first native North American tree to be introduced in Europe.
Branford's CFC hopes to continue to share photos and information of additional Branford Notable Trees, to help increase public awareness of the importance of the town's trees.
