A Wallingford man has been arrested on charges that he robbed a North Haven gas station.

According to North Haven Policem Joseph Arcangelo, 31, of Wallingford, walked into the Exxon gas station, 77 Washington Avenue, with a handgun. He passed a note demanding money to the gas station employee. Arcangelo fled the scene with cash in a white sedan.

Arcangelo was arrested on Monday, Jan. 22 and charged with robbery in the first degree and larceny in the sixth degree. He posted a $200,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Feb. 8.
