Suspect Sought in Webster Bank Robbery
East Haven Police are searching for a man who robbed a Webster Bank shortly after 12:30 on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
According to police, a tall white male in his 20s or 30s entered the Webster Bank at 260 Main Street at 12:37 p.m. and passed a note to a teller demanding cash from the drawer. It is unclear how much, if any, cash the suspect made off with.
The suspect is described as having a slim to medium build, and he was wearing a black jacket, a Yankees baseball cap, fluorescent gloves, black face mask, khaki pants, and work boots. He fled the area in a newer model white GMC 1500 single cab with tinted side and rear windows as well as a strip of tint at the top of the front windshield. The vehicle also had a rear license plate cover and a trailer hitch. He was last seen heading westbound on Dodge Avenue toward New Haven.
