North Branford HS Students Receive CIRCLE Awards
The Full CIRCLE Awards Assembly is held twice a year at North Branford High School (NBHS) to recognize students of outstanding and exceptional character; those who embody and exceed the school's CIRCLE expectations of Citizenship, Integrity, Responsibility, Consideration, and Empathy.
In previous years, teachers nominated students for these awards. This year, both teachers and students were asked to nominate students they felt best exemplified NBHS CIRCLE expectations. With over 150 nominations, the response was amazing!
On Wednesday, Nov. 22, nine winners from each grade were chosen to receive a Full CIRCLE Award and one student from each grade was chosen to receive the Shining CIRCLE award, the school's highest honor. Due to such overwhelming support for two candidates, the NBHS senior class had two Shining CIRCLE recipients, Kayla Bonaldo and Sydney Acquah-Franklin.
The ceremony took place in the auditorium with the entire school in attendance, along with the families of the Shining CIRCLE award recipients.
