On November 11th, Veterans Day, we pay tribute to all the brave men and women who have honorably served in the U.S. Armed Forces. They answered the call to protect and preserve our country and the ideals in which founded our Nation. It is through the courage and sacrifice of those that have served, that we are able to enjoy freedom.
I also want to acknowledge and congratulate VFW Memorial Post 12106 for receiving the following awards of distinction: State of Connecticut VFW, 1st place Community Activities Award 2016-2017; State of Connecticut VFW, 1st place Americanism Award 2016-2017; and National VFW Outstanding Community Service Post Award. These awards recognize their continued dedication and commitment to their fellow veterans and to the families of active military personnel.
On behalf of the Town of Branford, I thank all the Veterans who have served our country and those who continue to do so.
