Branford Residents: Help Update Town Plan of Conservation and Development
November 7, 2017: The Town of Branford has scheduled a public meeting to get input from Branford residents as part of updating the Plan of Conservation and Development for the community. The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, November 29, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Walsh Intermediate School, 185 Damascus Rd.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for Branford residents to identify issues of concern to them and suggest priorities and strategies for the updated Plan. The current Plan of Conservation and Development was adopted in 2008.
Following the public meeting, a special committee tasked with assisting in the update of the Plan of Conservation and Development will be reviewing community input and evaluating strategies to help guide the community in the future. [See Related Documents "POCD Residents' Primer" to learn more].
A Plan of Conservation and Development is an advisory document used by the Planning and Zoning Commission and other Town agencies to protect the resources important to residents, guide growth and change in Branford and identify facilities and services needed or wanted to support the community.
Branford residents are encouraged to come to the meeting to help ensure the Plan of Conservation and Development reflects community goals.
