The fifth annual Beacon Awards were celebrated on Oct. 4 at Water’s Edge Resort in Westbrook. The mission of the Beacon Awards is to recognize individuals who have selflessly stepped up to help fulfill the shoreline community’s promise as a place of opportunity, wellbeing, and safety for all.

This year’s awardees are David Allen, Mary Cacace, Connie Fusco, Cindy Golia, Bill Hawke, Ray Hayes, Bo Huhn, Lynda Hunnicutt, Sue Kruczek, Renée McIntyre, Susan Melchior, Tom ODell, Jackie St. Peter, Jeff Vailette, and Hedy Watrous.
