Branford's Prins Earns CABE Master BOE Distinction
September 1, 2017: John Prins, a member of the Branford Board of Education, recently achieved the level of Master Board of Education Member in the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) Board Member Academy for the 2016-2017 school year.
Mr. Prins was one of ten board of education members recognized for his achievement in attaining this level by participating in numerous hours of board-related professional development activities for the 2016-2017 school year. To achieve the Master Board of Education distinction, a board member must meet a variety of rigorous criteria and earn credits in areas of study related to public education.
Mr. Prins selfless devotion to public education warrants recognition from CABE and is greatly appreciated by his colleagues, the community, and the school district.
"This is a well-deserved honor for Mr. Prins who has devoted 18 plus years to the children of Branford serving on the Branford Board of Education. John has devoted endless hours of his personal time to do his best in helping to provide a quality education to the children of Branford. I sincerely appreciate his time and efforts," said Michael A. Krause, CIC, Branford BOE chairman.
"John is a thoughtful, devoted and experienced member who's contributions have had far-reaching impact on Branford Public Schools," said Hamlet M. Hernandez, Superintendent of Schools.
