08/31/2017 12:01 AMParker is a 7 year-old male Yorkshire terrier mix. He came to Valley Shore Animal Welfare League (VSAWL) because his primary owner fell ill and could no longer take care of him. Parker is a sweet boy who loves attention. He loves to be a lap dog, and enjoys his time outside going for walks and exploring new areas. He may only be about 14 pounds, but he has a large personality and is very active. Parker will make a great companion dog. He has only been in a home by himself, and is still working on meet-and-greets with other dogs. Parker is up to date on his vaccines, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and is neutered. If interested in Parker, call VSAWL at 860-399-7561 for more information.
VSAWL currently has space available for adoptable dogs and cats that need to be relinquished. If you or someone you know needs to rehome their cat or dog, call manager Christy Moore at 860-399-7561 for more information.
VSAWL is a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter located in Westbrook, open five days a week (Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Calling ahead is recommended for availability. All animals live on site and can be viewed for consideration for adoption.
