A Day of Firsts in Branford

On Branford’s first day of school on Aug. 28, incoming kindergartner Meadow Stout meets “The Information Queen,” aka Tisko Elementary School Library Media Specialist Lydia Kroeber, for the first time, to the delight of Stout and her grandmom, Annie McGuire (aka “Granny Annie,” according to McGuire). Kroeber has donned a kid-friendly costume every first day of school of her 18 years at Tisko.
