Westbrook’s Preserve Access Parking Opens Soon

Machnik Bros., Inc., of Old Lyme has been tapped by the State Department of Energy & Environmental Protection for the Preserve parking project. Last week crews and equipment from Machnik Bros., Inc., started grading and site work to make a new 36-space Preserve parking area on Route 153 in Westbrook. Construction of the lightly-developed parking area should be finished by the end of August.
With work to construct a new parking area for Preserve access starting last week, recreational users will soon be able to park in the Route 153 parking area and take this path into the Preserve open space.
