Madison Moves Up Graduation Time on June 19
Due to expected inclement weather, the Daniel Hand High School (DHHS) Graduation will now take place at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 19 according to a Facebook post from Madison Public Schools.
The graduation ceremony was originally scheduled for 6 p.m., but after consulting with a meteorologist who predicts rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon, school officials decided to move the ceremony up.
Final rehearsal for the class of 2017 takes place at 9 a.m. that morning on the green. School officials said students and parents should look for e-notifications if other changes to the day’s schedule need to be made.
“Please note, a tent is not available this year. If the weather proves unsafe on Monday, an E-Notify will be sent with details of the postponement. Thank you in advance for your flexibility,” the post read.
