North Branford Scholarship Association Awards $27,850 to Class of 2017
Since 1963, over 50 years of scholarship giving, curated by the North Branford Scholarship Association (NBSA), has added up to contributing more than one million dollars to graduates of North Branford High School.
On Wednesday, May 31, NBSA provided the latest group of residents to graduate, 89 members of the North Branford High School Class of 2017, with awards totaling $27,850, according to information supplied by NBSA.
In the past 54 years, the association has awarded a total of $1,034,000 to no less than 3,318 NBHS grads. The awards are given as individual scholarships to students planning to continue their education or career path.
Non-profit NBSA raises and distributes funds to graduating seniors within the community. Students are awarded scholarships based on their scholastic achievement throughout high school. The NBSA committee reviews the application and selects the recipients.
NBSA thanks the organizations, businesses and families who have made the annual scholarship program possible through their continuing support and contributions.
The NBHS Class of 2017 will graduate during Commencement at the school field on Friday, June 9, at 5 p.m.
