Richard Evans of Guilford has joined Community Investment Corporation (CIC), a small business lender serving clients in Connecticut and Rhode Island, as vice-president and senior lender. CIC provides business consulting and financing services through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 504, Community Advantage and MicroLoan Programs.
Evans comes to CIC after 24 years in the banking industry, spending the last 14 years in small business and commercial lending. He started his banking career with The Bank of New Haven in 1993, spent 12 years at Bank of America/Fleet Bank and spent the last eight years in community banking in the New Haven area.
Evans earned his B.S. in business economics from the University of Bridgeport, was a graduate of Fleet Bank’s Business Credit Program and is also a graduate of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program.
