Branford Rotary Chimed for Charity
The Rotary Club of Branford conducted another successful collection and supervision of the traditional red kettles associated with the Salvation Army during the holiday season. Rotarians braved the elements at storefronts of Branford businesses such as Stop & Shop, Starbuck’s, and Walmart in order to perform this endeavor of ringing handbells.
The money collected is turned over to the Salvation Army, which then forwards the funds to the Branford Counseling Center.
The Branford Rotary team consisted of the following: Joe DeFrancesco, John Mooney, Mel Baisley, Bob Zettergren, Joe and daughter Bernabucci, Bob Carmody, Jim Carpenter, Jeff Vailette, John Lear, Hap Storer, Alpha Coiro, Nick Vamvakis, Ginny Page, Jeff Clark, Al Bertoline, Milt Baisley, Charlie Shelton, Bob Gill, Gerry Mann, Dean DeNegris, Dave Kozma, Rich Shanahan, Mike Ball, Tony Terry, Bill Donaruma, Chip Marsh, Lou Scheps, and Don Jackson.
