Branford Community Garden Grows Donations for Local Programs


Branford Community Garden (BCG) recently contributed funds to Branford Food Pantry (BFP) and Community Dining Room (CDR). With a bit of local assistance, all-volunteer Branford Community Garden (BCG) members have been able to grow programs to assist community members in need, such as "Weed, Seed & Feed," growing and giving fresh produce for use and distribution through Community Dining Room (CDR) and Branford Food Pantry (BFP). 

Recently, BCG members found a way to thank other community organizations and individuals for their support of BCG programs, by making donations to CDR and BFP in their honor. BCG has donated $200 to BFP and $200 to CDR.

"We did this to acknowledge the support we have received from members of the Branford Garden Club who have assisted at our fundraisers, from Alex Paluzzi of Park and Recreation for his assistance in garden operations, and from Steve DuHamel, who provides gardening amendments," said Malaine Trecoske, BCG president.
