Talking About Branford Emergency Services Nov. 15
The League of Women Voters of the East Shore (LWVES) invites Branford residents to the second in the series of "Know Your Town" Coffees and Conversations. It will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. at the Branford Fire Headquarters, second Floor, 45 North Main St.
Branford Fire Chief Thomas Mahoney and Branford Police Captain Raymond Dunbar of Emergency Management Office/Branford Police will share the Emergency Services that are available to Branford residents. All are welcome to attend and invited to join in the conversation.
The series is part of the LWVES "Local Government Initiative" to educate and engage Shoreline residents with their local government.
"Each town has a variety of local government services that the public needs to be aware of like Emergency Services. The League believes in providing opportunities for citizens to learn about what their town offers them," said Carol Reimers, LWVES president.
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of public policy issues, and influences public policy thorough education and advocacy. Membership is open to men and women of all ages.
