Today is Columbus Day. The following will be closed in observance:

Federal, state and municipal offices are closed. State parks will be open.

Post offices are closed, although Express Mail, special deliveries and perishable items will be delivered.

Banks and credit unions are closed.

Schools and most public libraries are closed.

Southeast Area Transit will be operating on a holiday schedule.

Shore Line East and Metro-North trains will run on a normal schedule.

n

The Department of Motor Vehicles will reopen at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Connecticut Lottery Corp. headquarters will be closed. Regular drawings will occur.
