Clinton Police Release Video of Car Crashing into Shell Station

Clinton Police have released video of an SUV crashing into a Shell convenience store at the intersection of East Main Street and Beach Park Road on Sept. 1.

According to police, the clerk was conscious and alert when officers arrived but was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Police believe the driver of the SUV inadvertently hit the gas pedal instead of the brake while in the parking lot. The vehicle crashed through the store and stopped when it hit the back wall.
