Amazing Grace Day, a fundraiser featuring home-made baked goods, beverages, raffles, and a silent auction, will be held Saturday, Sept. 10 Rumanoff’s Fine Jewelry & Design at 4133 Whitney Avenue # 29, Hamden. The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., is dedicated to Grace Caruso, daughter of Scott and Rachel (Beckwith) Caruso of North Haven. Grace Caruso is battling Leigh’s syndrome, a progressive neurological-metabolic disorder, affecting the brain, muscles, heart, and immune system. Unfortunately, the prognosis is poor and there is no cure for this debilitating illness and Caruso requires ongoing, specialized medical care that is not consistently covered by insurance.

The bake sale table will be staffed by Ridge Road Elementary School students Taya and Caden Diggs, who volunteered to sell baked goods including cookies and cupcakes made by family and close friends
