Tomorrow's Stars at 'Branford Rec N'Roll' August 26


Tomorrow's stars will perform in town on Friday, August 26 when Branford Recreation Department presents "Branford Rec N'Roll" featuring youthful local bands.

Local groups scheduled to play to date include Chaser Eight, Someone You Can XRay and The 34s.  Teenagers are especially encouraged to come out for the show.  Admission is free; please bring a non-perishable food to help fill non-profit Branford Food Pantry's shelves.

This will be the fifth year Branford Recreation Dept. has given youthful local talent the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience on stage. The night's professional sound will be provided by Dennis Nardella of Branford.

Branford Rec N'Roll will play Friday, August 26, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. on stage on the town green (rain location will be at nearby Branford Community House, 46 Church Street, in the Joe Trapasso Gym).

Chaser Eight features Audra Ciarleglio (guitar/vocal), Pat Walsh (guitar/vocal), Billy Wang (bass), Aaron Tagliamonte (guitar/keyboard) and Dennis DeMorro (drums). 

Someone You Can Xray features Dana Newman (vocal/keyboard), Bryan Newman (guitar/vocal), Robert Bobby Pickett (lap steel guitar), Michael Ryan (drums), Xavier Pietri (percussion), Jonathan Clarke (bass) and James Clarke (drums). 

The 34s featurs Michael Szeligowski (guitar/vocal), Dan Bramage(guitar/vocal), Jason Sasso (bass/vocal) and Joseph Quartiano (drums/vocal).
