Suspects Sought in East Haven AT&T Store Armed Robbery
East Haven Police are looking for two men who they say robbed an AT&T Store.
Police responded to a call on Saturday, Aug. 6 at 10:29 from the AT&T Store, 7 Foxon Boulevard, East Haven. Upon arrival, police determined that two black males dressed in dark colored clothing and masks had entered the store, ordered an employee and customer into a back room where they sat on the ground. At least one of the suspects was carrying a black hangun.
The suspects proceeded to empty the safe of iPhones and loaded them into a bag. They also took an unspecified amount of cash.
While the suspects were in the back room, a female customer walked in. One suspect is seen on surveillance footage pointing the gun at her causing her to flee the store. The suspects fled the scene in a silver Nissan Maxima with Massachusetts plates towards New Haven. The vehicle was later recovered unoccupied in the area of Shelton Avenue and Goodrich Street in New Haven.
The suspects are described as approximately 5' 10" and 215 to 240 pounds. One was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with dark jeans and one was wearing a blue Champion branded hooded sweatshirt with dark jeans. The suspect with the Champion sweatshirt was in possession of the handgun.
