Support shown to police officers across the country included community members thanking Branford Police for their service last week, following the shooting deaths of five Dallas TX police officers on July 7.

Branford Police Department's Facebook page on July 8 posted a photo of a gathering of officers with community member Bobbi Racette helping to display tokens of thanks delivered by her family and other community members.

The photo was posted with the message "Branford Police would like to thank all Branford residents for their outpouring support and sympathy for our fallen brother officers in Dallas Tx.  Special thanks to Bobbi and Paul Racette for the fruit basket; also Bob and Terry Imperato and Abbi Hanson for the beautiful flower arrangements. We are honored to serve the community of Branford!"
