The Valley Regional High School Model United Nations team participated in a competition at Woodstock Academy on Saturday, May 7. Three students from John Winthrop Middle School also participated. Students were involved in four committees, including Committee in the Status of Women, UN Security Council dealing with the situation in Libya, a Joint Historical Crisis Committee on the Vietnam War, and an NGO (nongovernmental organization) Committee dealing with the Syrian Refugee Crisis.

This is Valley’s third Model United Nations for the year, and the team has earned several awards for top speakers in their committees.
