On Monday, June 6, Branford Police Department and Lenny's Indian Head Inn restaurant will once again join forces to put on Connecticut's longest running annual "Tip-A-Cop" fundraising effort.

For the 25th year, Branford police officers will volunteer their time waiting tables, serving food and offering raffle tickets for prizes donated by many local businesses. All fundraising proceeds from the event, including all tips officers receive, will be donated to benefit Connecticut Special Olympics. Police will take the floor at Lenny's from noon until 10 p.m. on June 6.  Lenny's proprietors, the Conlin family, will offer patrons lunch and dinner specials as part of the event.

In a press release from Branford Police Department, Officer Josef Herten, event co-organizer with Branford Police Sergeant Stanley "Stosh" Konesky, said, "We are honored to be a part of this twenty-fifth anniversary, and would like to thank the Conlin family for their unwavering support and gracious support for the past twenty-five years."

Non-profit Special Olympics Connecticut (www.soct.org) provides over 14,000 individual athletes with year-round sports training and competitions and also provides programming for Unified Partners (supportive teammates to athletes).

Located at 205 South Montowese St. in Branford's Indian Neck section, Lenny's Indian Head Inn has been a shoreline favorite for over 40 years. For more restaurant information, visit www.lennysnow.com
