NB Updates: Road Resurfacing, Memorial Courts; Dog Park
The weekly report from North Branford Town Manager Mike Paulhus includes the following updates on what's happening around town.
Work continues on Memorial Park's tennis courts and basketball court renovations. Preparation for the new base for the five tennis courts continues while concrete pouring for the new basketball court is set to take place May 17. See more news about the renovations here
Progress on the town's first Dog Park is continuing following an April site walk at 298 Forest Road. Paulhus reports North Branford Unleashed! co-founder Eric Hodgson has obtained three quotes for the fence, and has collected information on signs and benches. See more news about the park here
The town's road resurfacing project continues with work wrapping up at some streets and getting underway at others. Paulhus noted last heavy week's rains slowed the paving schedule; but paving was anticipated to be completed on Ledgewood Drive and Deer Path Lane, followed by finishing up at Wilderness Drive, Glenwood Road, McMahon Lane and Josie Drive.
The reconstruction project of town roads in Northford is out to bid (closing date May 18) with work scheduled to begin in spring/May 2016; for roads including Blue Jay Road, Hillside View Road, Hummingbird Drive, Meadow Lark Lane, Skylark Drive and Snow Bird Lane.
