Westbrook Snack Shack Contract Renewed

Satisfied with the town contractor’s performance, the Board of Selectmen (BOS) voted unanimously last week to renew the contract with Hog Wild, the firm currently holding the contract to operate the Westbrook Town Beach Snack Shack during the summer months.

Hog Wild and its principal owner John Annello’s existing contract with the town includes operating the Snack Shack concession through the upcoming summer season of 2016.

The contract renewal voted by the selectmen extends that contract for two more years or through the summer season of 2018. The BOS voted to charge the operator $500 more in the summer of 2017 than in 2016 and another $500 for the right to operate during the summer of 2018. This decision puts the fee paid to the town at $3,500 for summer 2017 and $4,000 for summer 2018.

The Snack Shack at the Town Beach is only open during the summer months.
