New Format for 25th Clinton Business Community Expo

“This is an event where businesses connect not only with other businesses, but also with their community,” said the Chamber’s executive director, Lauren Sposato. “With the weather getting warmer and people wanting to spend more time outdoors, we thought we’d switch from having this on a Saturday to holding it on a weeknight. We’re nicknaming it Expo After Hours.”

The 25th annual Clinton Business & Community Expo will be held on Tuesday, March 22, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Andrews Memorial Town Hall. More than 50 local businesses, restaurants, and civic groups are participating.

“The Chamber Board of Directors and staff decided it was time to shake things up,” Sposato said. “This year, community members can look forward to live entertainment by acoustic guitarist Travis Winkley as well as food and beverage tastings from some of Clinton’s finest restaurants. Frank Andrews Mobile Kitchen will serve samples of their famous wood-fired pizza, and Chow Food and Beverage Company, which hasn’t even opened its doors yet—they open in April—will give Expo-goers a sneak preview of some of the goodies on their menu.”

Scottish Dave’s Pub, Subway, Doc’s Bar and Grill, and Food Encounters are also part of the moveable feast.

A designated Kids Corner, said Sposato, will feature businesses that appeal especially to families.

“This will be great for parents looking for summer camps, birthday party venues, child care, and things of that nature.”

Every year, Expo puts faces to names, introduces residents to the variety of merchants, services, nonprofit providers at the heart of their community, and brings it all together under one roof.

Complimentary passes are available before the event. For free tickets, contact the Clinton Chamber of Commerce at 860-669-3889. Tickets are $10 at the door.
