Ice sculpting (here Gary Costa carves out a sea horse) was just one attraction at Saybrook Point Inn & Spa’s third annual Fire & Ice Festival on Jan. 16. The unseasonably warm day brought crowds to participate in champagne, sushi, and beer tastings and enjoy live music and more.
Oscar Peres was super busy working the shell fish shucking station.
Chris Ruszczyk and Ed Gaffney take a spin on the floor to the cool tunes provided by Standing Ovation Acoustic Trio(Kep Sturgeon, Dave Smith, and Dan Bernier)
A strolling magician captivated attendees with a rope trick.
Kris Connors from Custom Wood Carvings in Westbrook worked on some details on the Great Blue Heron which will be a part of a bench when done.
Fire & Ice drew crowds to the Saybrook Point Inn to see ice carvings and wood carvings and delicious local food and drinks.
Chris Morgan from Thimble Island Brewery was busy giving out samples.
