Chester Library Book Sale
The Friends of Chester Library are now accepting donations for their Winter Book Sale, which opens on Friday, Jan. 22. Donations of gently read books, DVDs, and recorded books will be gratefully accepted at the library through Wednesday, Jan. 20. Please refrain from leaving donations outside when the library is closed; they are often damaged by weather and must be thrown out. Also, please don't donate books that are torn or moldy from long storage, which we would have to discard. All proceeds from the sale help the Friends fund children’s programs and adult discussion groups, and purchase movies and museum passes for the library. The Book Sale is open for two weeks during regular library hours. Want to help at the library sale? Chairperson Diane Lindsay is looking for volunteers and especially for someone to co-chair the sale. Call her at 526-2443.
