Guilford Police Seek Man Involved in Attempted Robbery
On Dec. 15, the Guilford Police Department responded to 1675 Boston Post Road, Xtramart, for the report of an attempted armed robbery. The caller reported that a male subject displayed a firearm during the robbery attempt, and then fled the scene in a motor vehicle.
Officers reponded to the scene and determined that the clerk was not harmed during the incident. It was reported that the male subject entered the store, displayed a black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded that the clerk open a safe. The subject left the store when his demand was not met, and fled the scene westbound on Boston Post Road.
The suspect was described as a black male in his late 20's, approximately 5'9" tall and 150-170 lbs, wearing a dark-hooded jacket and ski mask. The suspect was also wearing a large gold ring on his left ring finger. The suspect vehicle was determined to be a newer model Nissan Altima, and the color is gray or green.
