12/08/2015 03:45 PMThe Planning & Zoning Commission (PZC) rejected, without prejudice, an application to build an addition to an existing home at Lake Quonnipaug.
The Cottage at Lake Quonnipaug, LLC, has submitted a variance to allow for a second floor on an existing home at 286 Lake Drive.
Many neighbors showed up at the Dec. 2 PZC meeting to implore the commission to reject the plans. Their objection was that they were worried that it would turn out to be a residence with constant turnover and no permanent resident.
The PZC said the application wasn’t complete, and for that reason, denied it without prejudice, meaning the applicant can re-apply once it has met the commission’s application requirements.
