12/01/2015 01:00 PMFor the second consecutive year, the Friends of the Guilford Free Library are opening shop to help patrons find that special holiday gift, whether they’re looking for presents for newborns, toddlers, or adults.
From Thursday, Dec. 3, through Saturday, Dec. 5, the Guilford Free Library lobby will be filled with gift-quality books in excellent condition; inexpensive, holiday-themed cooking, crafts, and decorating books; children’s Christmas stories; and Christmas books and music for all ages.
Adults can find recent novels and nonfiction, memoirs, biography, travel, art, architecture, photography, and cookbooks. For toddlers to teens there are picture books, easy readers, graphic novels, puzzles, and games.
A special feature this year is a trove of sheet music from the golden age of Broadway musicals and popular music from 50 years ago. The sale also includes charming and humorous small books.
The hours of the sale on Dec. 3 are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
