North Branford's Annual Tree Lighting and Visit with Santa is set for Fri. Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. at the Co. 1 Fire House.

One child's name will be drawn at random from those attending to light the town's live Christmas Tree beside the Co. 1 Memorial Plaza. All kids are welcom to enjoy a petting zoo brought in for the occasion, new this year, said North Branford Recreation Supervisor Patrick Rossiter.

"We've got a number of things, the Tree Lighting itself, Santa, music from the high school choir and band members as well as some crafts and the petting zoo," said Rossiter.

North Branford High School students will help out as Santa's Elves and the North Branford Rotary will once again sponsor kids' photos with Santa. 

Citizens are invited to attend this annual event, which rotates between Fire Houses in North Branford and Northford each year. North Branford Co. 1 Fire House is located 1635 Foxon Road in North Branford.
