Resident Charged with Pawson Park Burglaries, Larcenies
Nov. 2, 2015: While investigating a suspicious vehicle parked in the Cherry Hill Commuter Lot on Commercial Parkway at about 2:30 this morning, Branford Police Officer Amber Radomski found and arrested Shaun Meserole, 34, (DOB 7/10/1981) of 105 Sunset Beach Rd., Branford.
Meserole was taken into custody on four (4) outstanding arrest warrants, each stemming from burglaries and larcenies throughout the Pawson Park neighborhood, where Meserole lives, over the past several months.
Information leading to the arrest warrants was developed by Officer Christopher Cope. Officer Cope, working with Detective Patrick Moynihan, was later able to obtain a Search and Seizure Warrant for Meserole's home where stolen items, including kayaks and power tools were located.
Police Chief Kevin Halloran said, "This investigation contained a great deal of investigative effort by our officers, that in turn has solves a number of burglaries and thefts in one of our neighborhoods and I expect additional arrests in the future."
Meserole was charges with three counts of Larceny 6th Degree; two counts of Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree; two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree; two counts of Larceny 5th Degree and one count of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, relating to the Arrest Warrants. He was held on a cumulative bond of $13,500.
When arrested, officers located both narcotics and a handgun inside of Meserole's vehicle. He was additionally charged with Possession of Narcotics; Carrying a Gun without a Permit and Weapon in a Motor Vehicle resulting in an additional $2,500 bond.
Meserole was arraigned in New Haven Court this morning.
