Music with a View on Branford’s Outer Island
A three-piece string ensemble from the Yale School of Music performed as part of the Friends of Outer Island celebration of the gift of Outer Island to the public by Elizabeth Hird 20 years ago. The day-long event drew hundreds of visitors to the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge unit to hear speakers, take guided hikes, snack, and simply enjoy the surroundings.

McKinney National WIldlife Refuge, Vince Breslin of the Connecticut University System, Richard Boardman of the Outer Island Advisory Board. Music was provided by a 3 piece string ensemble from Yale School of Music.
