08/18/2015 01:00 PMThe town pays tribute to its seniors with an annual celebration on the Town Green, hosted by Mayor Joseph Maturo, Jr., this Saturday, Aug. 22 from noon until 3 p.m.
The ever-popular Vinny Carr will once again be the entertainment for dancing. This year’s festivities will also include door prizes. A lunch fare of hot dogs, salads, pickles, chips, soda, coffee and dessert will be provided. Seniors are reminded to bring their own chairs for additional comfort.
In case of inclement weather, the festivities will be held at the East Haven Senior Center, 91 Taylor Avenue.
