08/04/2015 04:30 PMThe ninth annual Shoreline Wine Festival returns to Bishop’s Orchards Farm Market and Winery next weekend—Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 15 and 16. The festival celebrates wines from Connecticut wineries and vineyards along with live music and some of the area’s finest foods.
Participating wineries include Hopkins Vineyard, Sunset Meadow Vineyards, Jonathan Edwards Winery, Jones Winery, DiGrazia Vineyards, Paradise Hills Vineyard, Sharpe Hill Vineyards, and Bishop’s Orchards Winery. Musical performers include Java Groove, Four Barrel Billy, and Guilford’s own Nick Fradiani Sr.
In addition to the opportunity to taste the wines from all of the wineries, attendees may enjoy a tour of the Bishop’s Orchards Winery, attend numerous wine seminars given by local wine experts, and visit with local vendors and artisans. All wines sampled by the vineyards at the festival are available for sale that weekend to take home.
Tickets for the festival are $30 for adults, $60 for VIP, and $10 for designated driver tickets. After Saturday, Aug. 8, ticket prices for adult tickets will go up to $35 and VIP to $70. Tickets are at a per person, per day rate, and they can be purchased online or at Bishop’s Orchards Farm Market. They will also be available at the door of the festival. Food offered at the event is an additional charge.
The hours of the event are Saturday, Aug. 15 from noon to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 16 from noon to 6 p.m. For more information and tickets, visit www.shorelinewinefestival.com.
