Madison Bulky Waste Eqipment Now Pretty in Pink
From left, First Selectman Fillmore McPherson, Guy McPherson, Tom Sander, Mark Piccirillo, and Mike Sullivan celebrate the unveiling of the town’s (re)newest piece of power equipment.
When the Public Works Department sent this 30-year-old front end loader in for an overhaul, it was clear it needed new paint. What wasn’t clear was what color it should be.
After some discussion, the choice was made to have Sander paint the equipment Breast Cancer Awareness pink—part of the proceeds from the sale of the special pink paint are donated to breast cancer awareness efforts.
Fans of the newly pink loader can find it at work at the Bulky Waste Site on Ridge Road, open Tuesday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
